Printing RFID Tags
Goods arrive without tags. You print a tag for each unit, and the app records the tag as received in the same step.
Printing happens on the receive page of a delivery, on RFID lines. Each printed tag is added to that line, so you do not scan it afterwards.
Set up the printer once per workstation
Section titled “Set up the printer once per workstation”The printer is driven by the Holtrack RFID Printer service, which runs on the same computer as the browser. Each workstation keeps its own settings.
- Open Settings, and find Printer
- If the service is not installed on this computer, use the download link for your platform: Windows 64-bit, Windows 32-bit, or Linux
- Enter the RFID printer service URL and click Save
- Click Test connection
The status says what is wrong when something is:

RFID power
Section titled “RFID power”Read power and Write power, in dBm, set how hard the printer reads and encodes a tag. Test the connection first: the app blocks a power change until the printer reports ready.
Raise the power when tags fail to encode. Lower it when the printer picks up tags that are not in the machine.
A layout of your own
Section titled “A layout of your own”The app ships a default tag layout. To use your own, upload a .dlt file exported from the DL-218 Design software under Print template.
The file must define three elements, named exactly:

A file without them prints nothing, so the app asks you to confirm the names before it accepts the file. The template is stored on this computer only. Reset to default puts the bundled layout back.
Print tags while receiving
Section titled “Print tags while receiving”- Open the delivery and click Receive
- Find an RFID line, and click Print tags
- Enter the Number of tags to print. The app never prints more than the quantity still expected for that line.
- Click Start printing
The app prints the tags one at a time. For each one it reads the tag’s TID, the identifier burned in at the factory, and encodes it as the EPC. Each tag is unique for that reason, and each printed EPC is added to the line as a received unit.

Close the sheet when the count is right. The printed tags are already on the line, so finish the receive as usual. See Receiving Stock.
